the gameplay loop is the bob-omb sorting minigame built into donkey kong '94 stages. buster plays like a fusion of cuphead and anton. the visuals evoke pizza tower and smiling friends, and the soundtrack's a nice blend of hideki naganuma's funk on jet set radio and the new jack swing flavor of several tracks on pizza tower and antonblast. explosively fun, stylish and wacky arcade title that wears its inspiration on its sleeve. love it, can't wait to see more. 💣

So what they did here is kinda do another take on their prey mooncrash idea.. now prey mooncrash is a phenomenal game in concept, and it’s well executed, but it’s tedious and not fun enough to play to do it over and over again.. so what they did here is use the same idea but streamline it and make the gameplay much more fun, otherwise no one wouldve bought the damn game, just like no one really played mooncrash.. so yeah they could’ve allowed players to improvise a bit more in relation to completing the story, but still, I think arkane absolutely nailed what they were going for here and dearhloop is one of my favorite games of all time, I’m endlessly intrigued by it and I think it’s one of the most unique triple a games ever made .. great video by the way, I wish there was more people really delving in to this game and understanding how important the multiplayer aspect is.. without the multiplayer rhe game is just not as good, ir was designed specifically for players to engage with the invasion system, and when u do, the game is just an absolute blast to play

The amount of moves the main character does reminds me of how Mario moves in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong '94. Sure enough, on their Kickstarter, they list Donkey Kong '94 as one of their inspirations. Really good twist on that type of game!

The aesthetics and humor remind me of Pizza Tower, Antonbladt and also Smiling Friends (for the big drawings)

This looks like it could be reaaaally fun as a co-op game à-la Overcooked as well! Imagine starting with given responsibilities based on bomb color and slowly giving into the chaos as you are forced to throw the bombs at your mates to save some time!

Helllll yeah another cool lookin weirdo game for cool freaks like me!

Looks interesting. But seems to fall into a graphical design trap that so many Indie games do nowadays. Too many things "competing for the eyes" at any one time. The backgrounds definitely need even less saturation and the HUD part needs a massive reduction in garish colors. A masterful graphical design isn't one that tries to stand out at all costs, but one that knows where to exercise restraint. It's telling that I felt great eye relief when you at some point in the video (05:56) show footage of the recent Mario Vs Donkey Kong. I hope they improve this aspect.

Holy wow the art style is fantastic. I hope we see more games that look like this and pizza tower!

14:39 if co-op was in grabbed by the ghoulies I would have bought it back in the day and my friend and I would have enjoyed the shit out of it. The theories of what could have been, if GoldenEye had less time there wouldn't have been multiplayer and apparently it wouldn't be as beloved.

I have to say, AE3 is one of my favorite games of all time and I think you take a very balanced approach in the innovative feeling that the Ape Escape gameplay brings out. It’s sad to see Sony be so afraid to touch the series and I think it’s long overdue for a reboot of some sort, and I love the idea you proposed. Here’s to hoping 🤞🏻
